Rockville Center Tudor Style Home - Guest Bath Reno
Jaime Jamin was hired as an interior designer to coordinate a guest bathroom renovation as well as convert an enclosed porch area into a master bathroom. The goal was to maintain the integrity of the Tudor style home, yet incorporate modern and functional bathrooms. The guest bathroom prior to renovation had a tub and toilet situated on a platform that often created a tripping hazard. The functionality of the space was very awkward. Jaime suggested moving all fixtures and leveling out the flooring for a much more convenient layout. The guest bath also consisted of a beautiful stained glass window with several colors throughout. She was able to build the shower stall around the glass window, incorporating a tile with a similar shape, highlighting tones of the stained glass in the wall tile. The tile is a feature wall in the shower that showcases the oil rubbed bronze fixtures. The new vanity has a vintage look with a dark brown bluestone top to blend with the dark brown tile flooring throughout the bathroom and shower base. The walls are a light celery color, which pulls color from the main glass tiles in the shower and blends well with the stained glass window. The space feels much larger than before and meshes nicely with the style of the home.
