In 2009, Jaime formed JPJ Beneficial Real Estate Group, now JPJ Real Estate & Design, as a residential real estate firm dedicated to assisting homeowners and prospective purchasers with a convenient and adept approach to the residential market, including home renovations and interior design. She had spent several years prior working in commercial real estate and founded JPJ with the vision of bringing accountability and transparency to the real estate market. Throughout many years of experience in renovating and decorating homes as a hobby, clients had begun requesting Jaime’s services to redesign and decorate their prospective homes in order to create their dream home. After working closely with many residential owners and becoming active in many communities throughout Long Island, Jaime had been approached by local business owners and commercial property owners in assisting them to sell, lease and also renovate/design their properties. In September of 2011, Jaime had decided to once again delve into the commercial real estate market. The company is now active in both the residential market throughout New York and the commercial real estate market throughout Long Island now having completed sales and lease transactions of over $35,000,000.

Jaime was recently recognized as one of the top 30 Under 40 real estate brokers on Long Island because of her expertise in the real estate industry coupled with the design aspect.
In 2006, Jaime joined Massey Knakal Realty Services in New York, where she assisted Managing Partner, Brian Leary, in managing a commercial investment sales division consisting of 75 employees. There, she also assisted Brian in property sales totaling 2.5million square feet of existing buildings and 3million square feet of buildable square feet for an aggregate sales value of approximately $525,000,000. Having worked closely with Brian for several years in the New York Real Estate market, she decided to join him and contribute to the development of CPEX Real Estate in 2008. With extensive experience in sales, leasing, administration and operations, she was involved in implementing procedures and processes that assisted the company in achieving its operating goals.
Prior to joining Massey Knakal, she worked as an operations manager for Eileen Lally & Associates, a law firm primarily focused in real estate based in Chicago. Her position consisted of managing the office, composing memoranda, consults, confidential real estate law documents, managing communications, and developing and conceiving an archival system for closed cases. Having worked in real estate law, Jaime’s real estate brokerage career began in residential sales at Century 21 Sussex & Reilly before moving to New York, where she joined New York Commercial Realty Services. There she gained more experience in both commercial sales and leasing, negotiating and finalizing real estate transactions.
Jaime’s ability to communicate and understand her clients’ objectives has helped her successfully complete real estate transactions throughout New York and Chicago. Joel joined JPJ Real Estate & Design in June 2009 to focus his efforts on residential aand commercial acquisitions and dispositions throughout New York. He is a dedicated, self-motivated, team player with strong leadership, organizational, interpersonal, and analytical skills. Joel has extensive experience within the real estate market and is an asset amongst the direction of the company’s sales force.
Joel joined the Navy immediately after college and then began his career working for a private investigations firm, implementing his skills of commitment to detail and the development of effective action plans. After several years of experience, he moved on and opened his own firm, Equitable Investigations, specializing in surveillance, motor vehicle accidents, hijackings of land vehicles, fire and arson insurance fraud, as well as liquor and medical liability insurance fraud. He conducted thorough investigations and maintained accurate records by the collection, analysis and presentation of criminal evidence in compliance with the law. Joel has consistently used his investigative experience to align clients’ objectives with effective solutions.
Joel started a family in the 1980’s, which led him to a career change into the sales industry in 1993. He has more than 25 years of experience in sales. Joel is a certified expert in pricing strategies, client relations and needs assessments, marketing, financial management, purchasing, and administration/staff training. He has proven that he is capable of a quick study and consistently looks for ways to put into application new ideas, concepts, methods and technologies.
Joel Pompa was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois and currently resides on Long Island, New York. He is fluent in Spanish, which has helped expand his client base. Joel attended the University of Miami, studied Business and Physical Education, and later joined the United States Navy, achieving honorable discharge in 1978.

Mary Jean Abar is a Real Estate professional bringing a wide range of business experience to JPJ. Mary Jean is a graduate of Adelphi University in Garden City holding a BS, summa cum laude in Management and Communications. She has also done various volunteer work for the local communities’ schools, churches and scouting organizations.

Anne Connolly comes to JPJ Real Estate & Design with extensive experience in sales and customer service. After graduating from San Diego State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English, Anne began her career in advertising sales. She also spent 5 years in the airline industry as a flight attendant for Trans World Airlines.
Having many years of sales and customer relations experience has enabled Anne to understand and respect her clients’ needs as well as communicate well on all levels. She has proven to be a quick study, enabling her to quickly secure sales transactions efficiently appeasing clients. Anne has completed nearly two million dollars in sales and leasing transactions throughout her career. She effectively maintains professional relationships with clients, which provides her repeat business along with an excellent referral base.
Anne currently resides in Malverne on Long Island. She is a residential sales agent and is available for any questions regarding the Long Island residential market.
Thomas Davis joined JPJ Real Estate & Design having two years of experience as a licensed Real Estate Salesperson and fifteen years of experience in the customer service arena working as a sales representative and asset protection representative.
Tom’s knowledge and experience as a facilities security supervisor with Thomson Reuters and in Crisis Management and Surveillance at Madison Square Garden has provided him with an in depth knowledge in surveillance and access control, providing Tom the ability to pay great attention to detail and thoroughly understand clients’ needs and concerns. Tom is quick to adapt to change and accepts challenges. Due to his vast knowledge in multiple areas of customer service, he takes pride in fulfilling his clients’ expectations with the highest standards of care and satisfaction.
Tom is currently also working toward his degree in Criminal Justice from SUNY Empire State College. He was born in Brooklyn, New York and still currently resides in Brooklyn. He has a very good handle on buyer and seller representation as well as leasing transactions and looks forward to assisting more clients.
Kelly was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY and has been passionate about real estate ever since a very young age. She purchased her first home at age 18 and has continued to observe the real estate and financial market conditions since then.
Not only does Kelly bring her personal interest and experience to JPJ Real Estate & Design, she has a formal education of Facilities and Real Estate Management holding certifications in both fields from Baruch College. Kelly also has a strong background in customer service as she has been working over 15 years as a Pharmacy Manager in an independently owned pharmacy. Her experience in customer service has gained her many useful skills with great attention to details of patient care and business growth. Kelly has a proven track record of positive interactions with customers. Her attention to detail and strength in customer service paired with her background and knowledge of real estate and finance is sure to help her clients obtain their real estate goals.

Lauren Norris was born in Johannesburg, South Africa and raised in Perth, West Australia, and currently resides in Lynbrook, Long Island with her husband and two young children. She is an active member in the local community, Lynbrook School District and the PTA.
Lauren holds a Bachelor of Science Degree (Psychology) from Curtin University Perth, Australia and a Masters degree (Psychology) from the University of Sydney, Sydney, Australia. Lauren moved to New York in 2004 and leveraged her international education, strong intuitive nature and keen understanding of human behavior to launch a successful career in the US business and finance sectors.
In 2010, Lauren left the full time work force to concentrate on raising her two young children, yet now as the children are older, she is re-launching her career at JPJ. During a business transaction with the Founder of JPJ Real Estate & Design, Jaime Pompa-Jamin, Lauren was impressed and motivated by Jaime’s creativity, design ideas, business transparency and work ethic. With that spark of inspiration and a desire to bring an element of creativity to her own new career direction, Lauren completed the requisite training and now adds licensed real estate sales agent to her list of achievements. With her unique international perspective, well-rounded work experience and strong work ethic, the addition of Lauren Norris to JPJ Real Estate & Design will further differentiate the company’s services in the market place.
Kavita Shah comes to JPJ Real Estate & Design with a diverse background in finance, event planning and community service.
Working for more than ten years at Lehman Brothers in their Mortgage Capital Division and Fixed Income Division, Kavita acquired a wide range of knowledge in finance, accounting and management reporting. After working for Lehman Brothers, she changed her career path to event planning. Kavita’s organizational and management skills came in handy as she has organized many events from weddings, sweet-sixteens and a major gala event for a non-profit organization. Due to Kavita’s plethora of work experiences, she has been able to better achieve her clients’ goals by honing in on skills such as managing schedules, meeting tight deadlines, thinking outside of the box and developing strong lasting relationships not only with clients, but also with vendors.
Kavita’s passion for connecting and helping people can be witnessed through her dedicated eight years of service as a religious studies teacher for children at a local temple in addition to her currently working as a program coordinator for a south Asian senior center. She has joined the world of real estate to further fulfill her passion of connecting and helping people by assisting them in realizing their dreams of being property owners.
